what impressed me - first big competition for him but he looked relaxed and confident from the get go
he took his time to go into all of his jumps and did not rush it
his components need serious work but great effort for first Euros.
Even with the stumble in the last spin - that does not matter

That was a program that looked hard, and had no choreography other than the elements. Music played while he skated, but I'm not sure anything he did matched, or used it.

This music always reminds me of Kovtun's last season and Tarasova slapping him upside the head.

I think that 2 lutz-euler-3 sal combo is a good example of what's been going wrong for him throughout- rushing his jump entrances. You could see him really sit on that edge before swinging through for the sal which helped him complete the rotations.

Very sloppy technique. Lack of body line, attention to detail throughout the program. Wasn't aware of the music, or the audience.
