Wow, what a beautifully choreographed program from Lindsay! Sandra Bezic did such a great job with that. So much thought went into that program. So refreshing!!

ETA - so, the tech panel gave it a !, which means the judges were free to disregard it, which most of them did, lol.

So, the consolation for the Gubanova fans is that she didn't exactly light the GP on fire last season and still won Euros, so there's still time for her to get it together this season...

ok I figured out what it is about Thorngren that bothers me so much- her face is so dead. She gives absolutely nothing except slight concern that she's skating or something idk

I found it weird that she'd start to smile during the program and stop before it really got to a smile. I wonder if she was told to be serious during the program?

Lovely skate from Mai. She took advantage of the big music, and really pushed out the performance particularly during the step sequence. Not sure if the injury played a role in the triple-double combination, but she seemed strong otherwise.
