They were damn lucky to be third in the RD. Their RD was not good and had a few small errors. Second is fair, and first in the FD is IMO correct.

Of course they do. They knew that’s why they didn’t win other years because of other peoples reputation. In Ice dance what you put on the ice is less important than how long you waited your turn.

That's not the first time that C/B get a sizeable lead in the RD and makes them mostly untouchable. But I do like them, don't get me wrong, they have been awesome representatives for the US. I just really wanted this for Piper and Paul.

Oh good grief, Mark, it doesn't matter about the dress. It's a skating dress and these things happen to them; besides, they're done with this program. It's not like she tripped on the runway and ruined one of Dior's finest.

As I called it yesterday the only chance for movement in the top 5 were between 2nd and 3rd. Had judges had these teams closer, who knows?

I have to say that I got the feeling Babs viewed victory here as placing ahead of Fear/Gibson. She was so thrilled when their marks came up but she had to know 129 could lose them silver.
