Great job Tomoki! 1 quad, no visible errors other than the handdown on the axel. Rather focused on elements, hope to see more expression later in the season.

Tomoki was totally testing my dedication as a fan - I had to get up early for this skate. :drama:

Tomoki Hiwatashi's jumps: 4T, 3Lz+3T, 3A hand, 3S / 3A+2A, 3Lz+1Eu+3F nice combo (eta: 3F was called 'q'), 3Lo + his trademark Russian split jump & other cool leaps/kicks. Jeff Buttle choreographed this program to Sibelius' Finlandia & I loved it at first viewing! :)

Into 1st 223.79!

Oh, and if you get the chance, watch Tomas-Llorenc Guarino Sabate from Spain. His Western-themed program, complete with horses neighing, lasso and finger-gun action, and "Cotton-Eye Joe" to finish, was a hoot.

It was indeed fun.
ETA: Lucas should lead. 2 quad toes and good presentation to interesting program. He did double the loop and fell out of a 3/2 combo, but the jumps he did land are very good quality

Aleksandr SELEVKO - trouble with axels today. Twizzled out of the sal at the end. Zoned out at the beginning so didn't see what jumps he did, sorry

Poor Memola looks wiped out by those first few jumping passes -- he's skating in slo-mo. But everything clean so far!

ETA: And clean all the way through! :cheer2: Lovely to see him skate with a huge smile on his face. He's skated with such confidence and expression throughout this event.

Really enjoyed all the top three. Memola is beautiful but could work on his speed. Very nice quality jumps from Lukas and I enjoyed Tomoki’s program.

Very excited for Tomoki! Let's keep that momentum going into the gp.
No GP this year :( - but hopefully this FS performance today is a confidence builder heading into Midwestern Sectional Singles Final!

oops I could have sworn he was on the list but also I am old and my brain doesn't work

Well best of luck to him going into sectionals and (fingers crossed) nationals then!

Has Memola ever worked with Shae-Lyn? (The rotation of his jumps are so beautiful - doubly so for being so tall.)
