Desrochers/Thrasher - red blobs on their jump elements as well as their SBS spin but I wasn't paying close attention to their program, so im not sure what went wrong.

Kemp/Elizarov - oh, good, they have their triple twist and throw triple back! These SBS spins weren't that good - out of synch. Much better program overall though!

So glad these two were actually able to make it to the Final this time. Their health luck in the past year has been dreadful, and it’s impressive how much they’ve improved the technical elements in that span despite the challenges.

Flores/Wang - ugh turn out and hand down on the throw 3lo. WASA Pairs need work on their SBS spins and these two are no different from their training mates. It'll be close between them and Desrochers/Thrasher.

This is my favourite team of the event. They have great performance, and a wonderful step sequence with the side by side split jumps. Definitely a team to watch out for when they move to seniors.

This is my favourite team of the event. They have great performance, and a wonderful step sequence with the side by side split jumps. Definitely a team to watch out for when they move to seniors.

She's not old enough for seniors until the Olympic season, but that's okay because I think they need another season in juniors.

Sierova/Khobta - wow... Mark is telling is she took 3 weeks off the ice after the JGP to heal her injuries but when she got back on the ice, the injuries flared up again. I'd guess that about seals the deal for Holichenko/Darenskiy being assigned to both Euros and Worlds while giving Violetta more time to rest and focus on Jr Worlds.

SierKhob - doubles for everything - she had issues with the manding of her 2z. Such a shame she's having such pain in her hip and back - they've regressed since last season.

There are moments in the program where you get a sense of what they are really capable of, but I wonder whether she will be able to continue with the injuries that she has to her hip & back.
