Did anyone recognize Desrochers/Thrasher's coach in the k&c? He didn't look like Brian Shales to me.

You would think the Chinese pair program could find a decent jump coach by now.

These two are very nice, otherwise; that throw definitely looks like it could be a triple eventually.

Yang/Deng - nice throw 2lo - looks like there's plenty of distance for her to add a 3rd rotation. Ended way behind the music.

Beautiful entry to the death spiral, nice entry to the lift. He may be the most polished male pair skater from China since Jian Tong. Potential only if the jump technique comes.

SierKhob - absolute quality on everything! I really hope they can win this week and qualify for the JGPF again!

Napolitano/Comi - I said it last week and I stand by my comment then - this team has some potential. Probably not enough to get on the podium here, but it'll be interesting to see how much improvement they can make in the next 5 months before Jr Worlds.

They should probably pull up to the lead in the free; the Canadian teams can’t exploit their weakness in the jumping elements and S/K are more polished on the pair elements.

Shi/Wang - why do you end on an element like SBS spins that are really hard to excel at even for seniors? There's a wide gap here between the top 3 and the rest of the field.

Well, I think that DesThra could snip past SierKhob for the win, but regardless, all three teams in 1st through 3rd here are going to qualify for the JGPF.
