twizzles: good first set, second one slowed way down and third drifted close to each other, big smiles, some work to do technically--negative GOE on their elements--need more smoothness, clarity in steps, etc. It's their first time on the JGP, room to grow for the future.

It's their first JGP and last since he ages out. Twizzles far apart, but nicely done, they have nice flow through the steps (level 4! on first pattern), good musicality matching the movement to the musical timing, I'm impressed. Great first outing!

Would like them to finish their movement and extend the free leg, Negative GOE on second pattern and curve lift, lots of polishing to do.

Not getting the scores, negative GOE on first 3 elements, nice lift. It's their first JGP, too. Learning experience for so many of these teams.

I love Tkachenko and Kiliakov, but their racing programme is just so choreographically dull, compared to the Swiss Gina and Beda's racing programme.

Great extension, carrying a lot of speed through the pattern--level 3 on first and level 4 on second! unison is top-notch, think they could achieve more clarity in the lift position, strong skating skills, good performance.

I suppose the favorite for bronze--this is a really green field. She ages out after this season

Nice twizzles, 3 keypoints on first pattern and two on second, good poise and strong technique

Another new team and she ages out at the end of this season

Skating close together through the pattern (this is no Linz caller, level 4 on first set). She falls on twizzles. He was doing some cool arm choreo to match the music on his second set, decent speed and good leg line. Good commitment to the choreography. Looks like her hair is highlighted pink. :cheer2:

Anyone else's stream freeze halfway through the Peals? Even switching devices didn't help. :(

I missed the Spaniards, but they had trouble with twizzles in the replay

Peal/Peal

Starting with good energy and faces. Really interested to see what the caller does with their pattern here. 2 keypoints on first. nice twizzles, they definitely skate like they own the ice. Would like to give a little of their command to T/K and a little of T/K's technical precision to this team! and my feed is buffering. Darn.

Italian '80s music for the Kazakhs -- that's different. :) Nice shade of green for her dress, though I find the top too fussy.

Don’t get me wrong, but looking at Tkachenko/Kiliakov’s scores, it’s hard not to remember that D/S also train with them

T/K are incredibly technically strong and are finally getting their due.

D/S not so much.

I don't think the Eteri bonus, obnoxious as it is, is going so far as to rub off on a junior team that trains with D/S. I do think that several great teams moved up to senior and left some room at the top.

These are not just random dance teams. Eteri has a daughter, but Kiliakov has a son.

Tkachenko/Kiliakov were 11th at junior worlds last season. Of teams ahead of them, 1-4 and 7 moved up to seniors. 5 and 6 were Neset/Markelov and Fradji/Fourneaux who are doing well this season as juniors. 8-10 are out with injuries. T/K are finishing right where they should unless you think everyone passed them this year.

Looking at the scores and placements, did you think a team skated better than T/K here?
