Bernard/Bonetto

Impressive levels on the step sequence. Twizzles were moving slowly and then she fell on final set and it looked like he ran into her. The character step sequence doesn't look like the typical Schindler's List, secure lifts

Tali/Lafornara

France's fall is going to make this FD very interesting. Can Italy catch up?

Got through the twizzles just fine. Nice dance spin. Pretty impressive unison for a team that's so new and since their bodylines match so well, they have potential to look truly spectacular, Level 3s on the one foot steps. Well done.

Peal/Peal

Level 3 one foot steps. Mature performance, both are performing the program with nice synchronization, good bladework, and staying close together. Unnecessary board grab during choreo steps. Lower TES than the Italians, but shouldn't be a problem for them to stay ahead.

Mark says that Eliana said the score wasn't high enough to pass Fradji/F in the JGPF race.

Israelis looked sharp. Don’t know if they have family here but if they know what’s going on, more power to them.

Tkachenko/Kiliakov

Smooth movement across the ice, the power and speed they achieve from each step is excellent, A little bit uncomfortable set-down from the stationary lift. Interesting choreo slide. For next season, I'd like to see them branch out into something more original; they have two tribute programs this year Punsalan/Swallow in RD and the Duchesnays in the FD. Let's find out more about T/K's identity as a team!

I had the same thoughts! There's something quite special about Tali/Lafornara, a good blend of technical mastery and appealing performance quality. One potential obstacle, though, is he's an American and they train in the U.S.; it's unclear whether he has Italian citizenship.

Paolino/Tuba were another Italian team on the JGP who did quite well, finishing 4th in Turkey.
