No, it really isn't a tactical error. He's less than 2 points out of first and has a far higher BV in the FS than either Uno or Kagiyama. It isn't as if he's buried so far behind that he has no hope of winning. Far from it.

I agree. I think the judging was fine today, although I'd have had Uno third.

4A< could've taken Malinin completely out of contention. A clean 4T, even if it left him in third place, leaves him within two points of first place, and he more than the enough tech content in the free to achieve that.
