It’s not her usual type of program but I love her anyway. Watching Kaori always makes me feel better.

She might be all hyper about the final combination spin. It only came in at level 2.

'Exclamation mark' as Mark says is bullshit for that Lutz. I really, really love her but it's ridiculous. The ! avoids judges dropping her GOE. If they give her the 'e' as they should, she goes from +2 and +3 on the element to -2 and -3 most likely and a reduced base value.

I know some will find the program snoozy but if she had to go soft, I think this was a good season for it.

And after that big proclamation from Mark, I thought we'd get cradle-rocking choreography from Kaori a la Leonova. We just got one arm up after the other. 9.50 composition, surely.

I'm a massive Kaori fan but I don't love the program, I think it shows off her weaknesses a lot, and the flip deserves a total 'e' call every. single. time.

She has the inside edge on both the flip and the lutz. This is as flutz-ey as it gets. Yet, the tech panel gives it an "exclamation mark"...

I was at dinner and couldn't type at the time, but Audrey really impressed me. Usually I don't find her the most memorable skater, but she looked sharp today. Good program for her.

Lindsay looked like a woman out on the ice, and I love the program and the color of the dress. when she went for the combo I’m like there’s zero speed going into this. If she can ever fix that under rotations, she will be right there at the top.

Given her history of injuries, not sure if this will happen, sadly. But I concur, at least in this SP, her presence and presentation is improved by leaps and bounds. Great to see!
