Is anyone going to be able to watch the jr men short program in Rink 1 that starts at 5pm est? I can't as streaming is frown upon at work plus have an errand to run after I leave for the day. Any notes would be greatly appreciated!

Alec G - some strong jumps - and weaker spins. He looks young but with potential! 60.29
Missed Mark G - sorry!

Michael Mogilen Richmond Training Centre ON 2 axl / triple Rippon lz + triple toe (fall) / triple flip 51.55 I think?
The kiss and cry is a bit sad here (for this competition, not this skater)

Jack Dushenski YRSA WC ON – triple Flip / triple loop + triple toe (step out) 2 axl slightly sketchy landing 57.85

Hugo Li YRSA WC ON 1 salchow / triple flip 2 ft / 2 axl / seems to be enjoying filling the sweeping RJ music 42.26

Conrad Orzel Toronto CS & CC ON 3 axl - super! / 3 lz + 3 toe / 3 flip – a bit of a pitch forward / little stumble on footwork. He is really quite lovely and I am looking forward to his progress at TCC 73.17

Made it home in time to see both Corsini / Daleman and the Boys-Eddys.

Hmmm, Olivia looks to be about as tall as her brother now. But she still looks very nice out there and she actually got off the ice on the sbs double flip so maybe her growth spurt will help her jumps.

Corsini & Daleman had lots of miscues which is expected for young pair teams.

On to senior pairs.

McCaw /Adcock were pretty good though their sbs double axels were so far apart it was like they did them in two different rinks. Do they not have sbs triple jumps???

I love Walsh & Michaud but this "Come Together" cover does NOTHING for Evelyn's skating. She's way too nice to try to pull this program off. Shame that she landed the throw triple loop on her stomach has that had to hurt

aww, the Black siblings were doing so well till the death spiral didn't happen. Loved their sbs spins and step sequence

Poor Caidence landing that throw on her elbows. Good for her and Raine going for the sbs double axels in novice pairs (not going to attempt to spell their last names)

Really nice by Isabelle & Keyton (yes I'm not spelling out the last names again). I actually saw a connection to the music. Good db twist, flips and throw. Only some rough spots in the sbs step sequence

There seems to be a bit of a fog problem at ice level. Hopefully they figure it out quickly. You can't judge dance if you can't see the skaters feet!

And the channel cuts out before reviewing the placements.

1. Galiyanova & Lochhead 59.23 (I thought they deserved it. Skated with confidence today).
2. Stairs & Graham 58.65 (A little rougher today than at Minto where their RD was very strong).
3.?
4.?
5. D'Allesandro & Waddell 53.3 Ouch! She really took a hard fall on a lift right toward the end. Over his head & down, maybe on her chin. Was looking good before that, though I'd still like to see more one-foot skating from them. Their movement flows well from step to step.

I assume Bashynska & Beaumont are one of the teams above 5th, but I missed the score. (OK, the program is Carmen so I skipped it).

4/ Tordoff / Tchernov Scarboro FSC/Scarboro FSC ON 54.39 (I think - I had a little trouble hearing)

Walsh/Michaud's throws need work (if only to spare Evelyn's backside all the hard landings), but the other elements look solid right now. Their free program is rather generic, though.
