Looking a bit slow and unsteady in places, but that's given the lost training time that's understandable. They got all the elements done, so even with lower PCS they should win here.

Also, why is the twist not positioned on the "little high" line, as opposed to shortly after it?

Are Boikova & Kozlovskiy a thing now? A little too much hand holding for my taste. I can't stand dating drama with my favorite skaters.

M/G super skate and WIN for the great Moskvina (& themselves)!!! Two perfectly POSITIVE programs. Yup: THEY ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!! 🥳

B/K skated with heavy hearts showing but salvaged a bronze.

T/M not that impressive, sorry...awful total-blah funereal LP and costumes to match. And...unfortunately, GREASE is still the word for his hair...

Thoughts on pairs:

M/G were ON! Didn't care for it at test skates but it's growing on me. Some amazing transitions going into their risk elements. I'm a bit sorry for them that this is their first really serious victory in seniors and it will be associated with the death of Moskvin. I know that they won a GP before but not against competition of this calibre. I read that Galliamov was the only asymptomatic one of the three guys and I'm sure that helped.

T/M blew it yet again. They could have won this although I'm glad a Moskvina team won. It wasn't bad considering everything but it's like they always go by their own timeline that isn't in sync with the season and by the time they get it together it's always just too late.

I wish B/K would change their LP. They got all the mileage they could from this one. He's just great, she still needs refinement, but they really sell it. I think Dima sees himself having a place in the beautiful history of Russian pairs skating and takes it really personally when they don't win every single time, but they are still so young and skated their hearts out.

All in all an interesting reset before Nationals. No one really goes in as a favorite. M/G probably get third if everyone goes clean. Losers here are P/K. Hard for them to medal now.

I am worried about P/K's scores being in a lower range than those of the other 3 teams. But we'll see what happens. It's certainly not a given that all the pairs will go clean at nationals . . .

My feeling when I saw P/K at test skates was they came to play this year. Their programs are a big step up, and shows they're serious about improving. Their SP is more rhythmic and the LP shows off their best attributes. It's just gonna be real tough for them in this field. It's such a shame that when they made the World team for the first time, it got cancelled!
