One of the two Hungarian brothers had to withdraw…and some skaters (Finns & Estonians, I think) didn’t receive their skates from airlines. One borrowed a pair from another skater; other hasn’t found a pair. (I Remember reading that Gillis Grafstrom didn’t receive his skates before an Olympics…found some curvy skates & won in them…early 1920s.)

I just tuned in and haven't seen Kim's performance yet, but Hagara's skating seems a bit choppy and slow to me compared to what I remember of Kim's first JGP, though it's of course very good for the junior level. In any case, I'm guessing he'll be second in PCS unless I'm misremembering Kim's skating skills.

Adam Hagara (SVK), who won Linz. Freedom.
Clean skate.
3 flip - 3 toe
3 axel
3 lutz.
Camel spin seemed slow…

Hagara's SP music is "Another Love" by Tom Odell (his ISU bio is not yet updated).

C'mon Davey!

ETA: Goodness, that's the biggest Canadian flag I've ever seen being waved in the stands!!

Random fact: Oleg Makarov (Jacob's coach here), Larisa Selezneva & Ksenia Makarova all received their USA citizenship in 2013.

@Sylvia Didn’t Ksenia represent the US at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver? She must have received her US citizenship by 2010…usual rules of being a citizen of the country represented at an Olympics, no?

Update: Ksenia was on the Russian team…so her citizenship was OK. I remember when she competed as a US skater when a child.

2013 is a good year - when my Russian husband became a US citizen.

I can't follow Ted. One skater couldn't skate because his skates didn't get here, but another skater is allowed to borrow boots from a third skater who's iill?

@Wyliefan Arttu Juusola (FIN) is the one who had to WD today :( (hopefully he can compete next week in Gdansk as scheduled).
Jegor Martsenko (EST; final skater in this group) is the one who borrowed skates... wonder who from?

I did not quote that, sorry. I wrote about Ksenia Makarova’s citizenship.

Yes, I know, but Ted made it sound like one guy was allowed to borrow and another one wasn't. Either I misunderstood him or he just wasn't very clear.

Skater from Andorra! Says he trains there, too! I didn't know they had room for a rink in Andorra!

(His loose hanging laces are scaring me)
