falls on opening 3a, follows with 3f-3t, jump fundamentals are good, not much flow out of 3 jump sequence, but otherwise landings have been solid, she's definitely performing and looking up at audience. Good skate.

Time for the new Chinese generation

3r-2a (fall), ooh, another fall, jump mechanics don't look bad so she's probably feeling the pressure. Everything a little cautious and deliberate. She's skating again next week and hopefully, she'll feel more comfortable there

opens with 3z-2a-2t with some hesitation in the sequence, not a lot of choreo between jumps. Interesting to see her tano jumps when most skaters seem to have removed that feature. Pretty spins with nice hand positions. She will also compete next week.

Jumps were out of control, good speed across the ice, but really unsettled out there.

In all of Italy, is there not one sports psychologist or jump technician or SOMEONE who could take this poor girl in hand? There is a massive, massive talent just going to waste here, and it's such a shame. And her devastated face after every single free program is such a sad sight.

Shibayama's choreo sequence proceeds at a snail's pace as if to match the music. Someone needs to tell young skaters that they still have to skate fast even when the music is slow!

Edit: She even fell down in slow motion at the end of the program.

Good clean 3z-3t, jumps are done with ease, interesting spin changes timed to the music on the flying combo spin. She and Kim both performed the whole way through the program, giving us more than a jump clinic. Put hand down out of final spin exit--wonder if it will count as fall. Well done overall.

The music was barely present for stretches of that program, which is a lot to ask of a young skater in particular.
